Change of school and program while study permit is pending

Hi all,

I got accepted to a 1 year postgrad certificate program starting in September 2021.
I submitted a study permit application at the end of April, which is still under background check stage.

After getting some advices, now I think another 2 year diploma program is better to my plan. I want to apply for the January 2022 Intake.
Anyone know if it is possible to switch the program of study while my study permit is under process?
If yes, may I know how? Or do I actually need to withdraw this SP application and then apply for a new one?

If you got your offer letter from the college you desire to go, you just need to update it through web form stating your reason for change and since your application is in process and no final decision has been made you don't have to withdraw or re apply for new study permit. But you'll have to do it soon.
