Change of plans !!! need some info please.

Hello again everyone.I have a revised plan and would appreciate any help.
I am now coming to Vancouver in July and getting married,Then go back home to Wales where i will then apply for PR etc(OUTLAND).... Hopefully this way buy the time i return in the new year to live with my Wife,I will then be able to work.(aslong as the application is through right)
I have a son of 17 who will not be accompanying me.
I have downloaded the forms for outland application now........
I would like to know of any problems i may encounter and if anyone know the cost of everything PLEASE !!!

Your timeline sounds about right, London is processing applications fairly quickly after receipt from CPC-Mississauga.

Problems? None, so long as your provide all required documents and information. Although your son is not accompanying, ensure you get his medical done.

Ask on the UK thread re costs for medicals, or have your spouse check around in Vancouver, it may be cheaper in Canada. Police checks vary depending on the countries you need them for.

The application fees for a spouse only is $1,040 Canadian.

As Charlie said, application fees are $1040. Pay it all up front to avoid delays later on. The police certificate costs I think 35 GBP. Make sure you order this closer to the time you are planning to file. For a medical, I paid $180 total in Toronto. I did get a quote from a DMP in the UK (Liverpool) and it was for 200 GBP. If you have the chance to get the medical done in Canada, it will probably be much cheaper.
The only other cost I can think of are shipping costs, sending application to Mississauga.
Make sure you read through all the forms and application guides and especially take care when reading the document checklist. It can take much longer than you think to gather all the docs required.

Yes as you have to send in a copy of your birth certificate, so you'll need to comment on why your current name is different.
