Change of Original Citizenship

Hi,
I'm a UK citizen who has had Canadian PR for just over a year. I'll almost certainly apply for Canadian citizenship when the time comes, but I'm considering renouncing my UK citizenship in favour of Irish citizenship. This is because the UK has gone mad in my absence and I don't want to be associated with them any more, and as I'm eligible for Irish citizenship I may as well go for it and eventually become Irish-Canadian rather than British-Canadian.

Would any forum user know of any problems that such a change might cause for my current PR status, or any complications which might arise when I apply for Canadian citizenship.

Many thanks in advance for any words of wisdom.

No issues.

For Canadian citizenship, what really matters most is ensuring you have sufficient residency days.

What your other citizenships are or were isn't relevant.

Many thanks. And, btw, thanks for your various advisory replies when I was applying for PR. :)
