Hello, that's a strange one but I need your help. My wife sponsors me and our depedent child, so we made a Family Sponsorship App (Outland as we were staying all together in Greece) in December. Later in April, she had to move back in Quebec with the child (that's a long story) and she will stay there until I will come too as a PR. Now, we have to complete the Quebec Undertaking App. Despite the fact that we sent an Outland app to IRCC, will there be a problem if we complete our addresses as they are? Our child has a visitor status there. Is it a confusing situation between Outland and inland application?? Thank you

Is your wife a citizen or a PR?

If she is a citizen, is the child not a citizen by descent?

If she is a PR, you cannot do an outland app from outside Canada. She needs to be in Canada to sponsor you.

Update addresses. You need to do that. But there are other aspects that are confusing in your profile.

Thank you for your reply. My wife is a Canadian citizen. Our child has a Greek citizenship by birth. We have already submit a sponsorship application to IRCC, but then we were living in Greece. We received a letter to continue the process with MIDI, as our intention is to live in the province of Quebec, once me and the child become PR s. It's time to make this application, but my wife and child have moved already in the province of Quebec. Is it OK to mention this with the new addresses to the application or will I have a problem?

Provided that your wife is a Canadian citizen by birth as well, your child is a Canadian citizen.

It's fine to mention the new addresses. One of the requirements of an outland sponsorship is that you demonstrate plans to return to Canada. There are sometimes confusions with IRCC about people who have already returned to Canada, but you should start to solve that by updating the addresses.

Well, we have submitted an application for a citizenship certificate, but no answer yet. It has been couple months now. I think there will be a refusal, as my wife is a Canadian citizen by descent and the child was born outland. But I'll start by updating the addresses as you said. Thank you very much.
