Please help me. My employer sold his restaurant and i'm still working in the same restaurant, i'm confused now as to how it will affect my application.

I don't think it will affect your application in any way. You're technically still working for the same "employer" even though it's not the same owner.

I applied to the Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program (AINP). Can I change my job/switch my employer? What happens with my AINP application?

If you applied under the Employer-Driven Stream of the AINP, you are expected to continue working for the employer who nominated you. If you are no longer working for your employer, your AINP application may be withdrawn.

If your employment status changes, you must notify the AINP by fax at 780-427-6560. An AINP Program Officer will review your file and will inform you about the next steps.

Though not exactly similar to your situation - the advice to contact AINP still holds. Contact AINP.
