What is the correct way to do a Change of Address after stage 1 approval has been done.

For out-land application, what Form should I (or my spouse who is the Applicant) use for change of Address (mailing address)? Do we need to also fill out the corresponding Form such as IMM 1344 (in case of sponsor) or IMM 0008 (in case of applicant) and send them to the specific visa office?

on ecas, there is a category for change of address. Just use that, they will update it directly in the electronic system, no need to send anything extra. I did that and it updated on ecas within 2 weeks of sending the request.
Good luck,
Sweden

Sweden, thanks a lot.

So, even though it is a out-land application, we can change the address by clicking on the link that is under the current address in e-case? I live in Canada but I am sponsoring my wife from out-land.

Thanks again.

yeah - I did that. I moved to Canada (I'm the applicant) before the PR was over (I'm visa-exempt), and just updated my address through ecas, and got the COPR directly in Canada

Ok. So, I can make the change on my spouse's (applicant's) behalf? Can the e-mail address be updated to at the same time?

I (the sponsor) wanted to update my address (it now has a Canadian address but I wanted to change into another Canadian address) and at the same time update the e-mail address with my spouse's e-mail address. So, that we don't miss anything.

when you click on the link in ecas, it will take you to send a case-specific enquiry ( at least that's what it did for mine), and you can update what you want... they won't know if you are the sponsor or the applicant, as long as you have the option in ecas, then you can do it.
About email address - I could not see mine in ecas, but when you write to them you can update it, should not be a problem.

When we send out the application file to Mississauga, we used a Representative (Lawyer). To make matter worse, we put the Lawyers mailing address for both mine (Sponsor) and my spouse (Applicant) as well as the Lawyer's e-mail address on Forms IMM 1344 & IMM 008 respectively.

While, CIC does have my and my spouse's physical address, CIC doesn't have either of our e-mail addresses. So, I wanted to change the address (at present the lawyer's address) by using the link in E-CAS to my mailing address in Canada and also send out a Form 5476 to the visa office in Singapore cancelling the use of Representative.

But, my concern is can the Applicant (or me) change the address in E-CAS without notifying the Representative? Also, if there is no place in that link to provide a new e-mail address, can the Applicant write an additional letter to tell the Visa Officer to contact her in her e-mail address only?
