Change of address-without file number please advice

Hi,

I applied for Canadian PR in SEPT 2008 through buffalo USA. Till now i have not received AOR.

I returned back to my native country in OCT and staying in my native country.

My communication address need to be changed since my friend in USA is shifting from the address given in the application.

Please Advice
1. How to change the communication address without having file number.
2. I coming back to USA in Jan2009. Is it ok to transfer file to my native country and again back to USA.
3. Is it ok to contact buffalo office without file number.

I would suggest go to USPS website and forward your mails to ur friends new address in USA. I did same think when i moved....

You can send a letter to Canadian office asking to update your address. But there is a 99% chance that the updates will not reach your file.

Best is go the USPS address change route!

i think if you r going back in jan again to the same address you shud leave it as it is. dont request for change of addresss for such short time when even you dont hav your file number for refference.

what will happen if i miss the AOR. will they send it back to other address which i mentioned in the PR application or will they send it to my email address.

Hello Varsham,

Did you receive any conformation for the Buffalo consulate? I applied during the same time as you and have not received anything as yet. Coincidently I have also changed my address still and am clueless as to what needs to be done. Let me know.

Dear All,

How long does it normally take for change of address to be reflected in ECAS ? I sent to a letter CHC London asking them to update their system with new address last week.
