hello All,
My appliation was being processed in buffalo under FSW1 from USA.Now they moved my file to Ottawa.Same time I requested them to change my USA work and residence address.Office told me to do so online. but online system is available for only those who are already in canada not for those who are out of canada. I emailed them to update this but they still persist me to go online and figure the way out to change address.Any help??

This is something which is not in your control. You can send a hard copy/ email/FAX to your VO (Ottawa) and retain records of the same. Also mention in the cover letter that you had tried updating the information Online but were denied permission.

Did you fax the information? Did they respond? Any more news?
 
Yes, I would like update everyone here that I again explained this technical problem and they changed my address from their side and now I can see update status on my ECAS status.Thanks for support.good luck
 
So you faxed or emailed? I emailed once and they replied with the same reply you have. Then I emailed again explaining the situation and they gave the the exact same response. I faxed them yesterday my new address and have not heard back.

How long did it take?

I am also going through this issue right now, on 30 August. So while they have heard about this problem, but are apparently not fixing it ???
 
If anyone else goes through this, you mostly need to take the phrase "Change of Address" out of your subject line. I think those emails go straight to a reply filter.

I did this and clearly stated in my email that I tried to change the address online, and repeated all my info again. They never responded, but a month later my address was fixed online. Good luck!
 
I tried removing the change of address from the subject line. It still replied automatically. Hope it works!
