I am an Iranian student in the USA and recently applied for a Canadian visitor visa OLINE on February 15, 2024. I have a biometric appointment scheduled for March 11, 2024, in Illinois. Initially, In the application form I indicated my intention to travel to Canada on May 10, 2024, and I provided the invitation letter and a possible flight ticket for this trip. However, circumstances have changed, and I now plan to visit my friend starting in April instead. Since I need to enter the country a month earlier, if my former application states that I will enter the country in May, does that mean my visa will start from May?
I am unsure if I should obtain a new invitation letter reflecting the correct date, and if so, how to inform the embassy about the itinerary change. I couldn't find any contact number/email to get answers to this question. I would appreciate any assistance regarding this matter. Thank you!
