Change in NOC codes. Human resources assistant

Hey there.

I applied for the PR Express Entry program at the end of 2018 with one year of work experience as an HR assistant. The code back then was either B or 0. Now a friend wants to come with similar qualifications, but it seems the same qualifications are now under Personnel clerk, but it is an NOC which is type C. She does not seem to be eligible for Express Entry anymore. Do you know when this changed?? Is she no longer eligible with a type C NOC?

I think there has been a revision in the NOC guide this year April. The change may have taken place which made some jobs less qualified for NOC O,A, B.

if your friend has not filed for express entry profile, then she will not be eligible for express entry if her occupation is in NOC C category.

What she can do instead is to rephrase her duties to match a different occupation that qualifies under NOC 0, A, B
