Hello,

I got my COPR September 2017 and I got married in December 17

I have not yet landed in Canada , is there a way to sponsor or add my spouse
What are the next steps I should take.

My last date to enter in Canada is May 2018.
Please advise if anyone has information about this

Thanks in advance

Raise a CSE updating IRCC of your change in marital status. You will then have to provide certain documents from your spouse (marriage certificate, medicals, police certificates, among other forms).

There are a ton of threads in this forum regarding this topic.

Thank you for pointing me to the web form . I really appreciate your time . I will raise the enquiry ASAP and check with CIC for the process
Hey Nitash, I am in the same boat as you were, I got the COPR in August 2018, have to enter Canada before May 2019. I am getting married in Jan 2019. I am planning to update CIC and add my spouse after our marriage. I am not sure about a couple of things -
1) Does she need to give IELTS?
2) Will they re-calculate my score?
3) How much time did the entire process take for you?
4) Would you advise on making a soft landing before marriage or just update the CIC after our marriage so that we both can the COPR?
