Greetings!! I received my ITA in May-2017, which i had accepted and filed my application with all the required documents on 3-June-2017, I got married on 2-July-2017, received my COPR letter on 1st September-2017. So I need to return my COPR email, update my Spouse in my PR Application and then hopefully get the COPR reissued for me and my spouse.

I have already notified the change in Marital Status to Delhi Immigration department(In AutoReply have been asked to wait for 30 days for a response) and OTAWA CPC(In AutoReply have been asked to wait for 20 days for a response), as well as submitted Case Specific Enquiry Form(28 days for a response).

I am hoping that i will get a response and they will ask for my spouse's documents. Is there anything else i can do or any other way i need to contact them?

What are the chances my COPR will be reissued?

Looking forward to any guidance or suggestion. Thanks :)

did you send this update once you got married? Your info should've been updated by now

Thank you for your reply, yes i have notified them through email and Case specific enquiry form, i waiting for my information to be updated or a response from their side asking for extra documents. Is there any other way i need to contact them?

I have not submitted all the required documents for my Spouse yet, waiting for them to allow me to upload them in my PR application.

How much time do they normally take?

As far as I know CSE take an average of 4-6 weeks but seeing as you got married in June so about 3 months? Definitely follow up as you won't be able to land with your current copr

I updated them using CSE, about my marriage, after I got my COPR email... I have already mailed to return my COPR as well..

Waiting for them to respond.. Well thanks...

This could play out bad - im sorry. They could object for not updating them earlier - as soon as you got married. Why would you wait for 2 months? Thats silly.

Not only that, the delay will the same if not longer.

Actually I did update them on email to DelhiImmigration@international.gc.ca 10 days before my COPR email came.. So that makes it 1 month 20 days after my Marraige.. It's almost 1 month since then and still waiting for a response..

I even speed post the hard copies of my marital status change application along with my Marraige certificate 2 days before my COPR email...

Only that I submitted my CSE after the COPR Email, when I got no response..

I didn't realize my COPR email will come this early..Nevertheless I had returned it immediately through mail and CSE seeking an update to my marital status..

Bad advice. It will not "play out bad". OP was not required to immediately inform IRCC of the marriage; as long as the spouse is added before landing, it doesn't matter when the status was updated. People might wait to add their spouse for a myriad of reasons, none of which IRCC cares about.

Thanks a lot.. Feel a bit better now.. Waiting for any response now...
