Hi:

I am applying CEC. I gave CELPIP, where I mentioned my height as 153cm mistakenly. But my actual height is 161cm. In application I filled 161cm. Will it be any problem because of this?

Thanks

Hi,

It's not an issue. When i sent in my application i was 160 cm tall but by the time CIO started processing it i had grown 180 cm tall due to favourable environmental conditions. When they asked for proof i sent them a letter of explanation with some selfies i had taken over the couple of months and the list of food items i have had over the duration. They said they are ok since i gained height but would not have been ok if i had lost some inches. They called my Employer as well to double check. Take Care!

why did CIC call your employer to verify your height? that sounds funny?

I also have a minor concern that when I filled in the form, I wrote down my eye color as black. But however, I realised that my eye color is brown as for most of Asian people, the ey colors are brown. I do not believe this will be a major issue. I am just waiting when the MR is done, and clarify this in the biodata form with correct eye colors.

Fingers acrossed that would be ok. :P

I reported 178 cm on my application. I went yesterday for my annual physical exam, the nurse measured twice 176 cm. I will have to pick one when I get biodata request.

LOL THATS BS.

So you're telling me within a year you went from 5'3 to 6'0 past puberty. You do know that is physically impossible... Although please inform me about what you did for this magical height gain. I wouldn't mind growing a few inches in a mere few months.

I had entered 177 in my application and bio data request. That's the same as is on my drivers license. At my medical I was measured at 173. Don't think it makes a huge difference.

Thanks all for your kind inputs.

Ok Guys, that post was NOT meant to be taken seriously, apparently not! :D. Sorry, if that was misleading to anyone!

Chemist, its a minor issue and nothing to worry about. You would be doing your Medicals anyway so not a prob!

Cheers! 8)

You clearly haven't heard of Miracle-Gro®.

I guess you can mention correct height when you get bio-data (the same height when you go for medical) .....until then it should be fine....

I hear ya. I had a similar issue - I mentioned 179cm on my bio-form but when I got to the border and the female officer insisted to measure me I was only 177cm. I tried to explain that I was indeed 179cm when I applied as it was in summer and it is well known that objects do shrink in winter but she was unconvinced and called for a supervisor, luckily for me the supervisor was a guy and well familiar with the shrinkage phenomenon happening at cold and in water and took my word for it. However, my PR was approved as conditional only and I will need to show up again by 1st of August to present the extra 2cm I was claiming...
PS. now I am extremely concerned about the summer as in summer I get a slight discolouration in my right eye and it may present a new problem on the border, did anyone face the same issue? :)

I am confused, were you measured the height at the border when you were landing? I never heard of people having this experience, wow, it makes me worried. As I thought my color is black when I filled in my application form, but realized recently it is actually brown. I never thought this would be an issue, but your story makes md uneased now. Just dont understand I what way this would impact the pr where you said it makes your pr conditional?

I wish this is not true.

I hope so. Iam quite touchy recently, cannot afford this kind of joke. Believe as long as the bio data info is consistent with medical results, nothing to worry. :o
