Hi

If I have to change an Employer, do I need to file new Work Permit or there is some thing called Transfer existing Work Permit to new Employer?

Also, How long does it take to get LMO (I am IT guy)?

1. Yes your employer needs to get a an LMO after advertising the position for a minimum of two weeks, before applying to HRSDC for the LMO> If it is approved, then you have to apply for a new work permit before you can start work. Anywhere from 4-8 weeks for the LMO and then 20 days for a decision on the work permit at Vegreville.

Thanks a lot for help !

So during this process (From LMO till getting new WP) If my current WP expires, can I legally stay in Canada?
