i also agree. you may get rejected for diploma when u already have a masters.
writing a strong sop explaining the course you have selected isn't available in your country and how such a course a course is unique to the college ca n help. but it is better to go for PG diploma or a second masters or even Phd. there is opportunity for phd candidates to be eligible under PNP migration in Ontario province. i don't more about this but please check this link: http://www.ontarioimmigration.ca/en/pnp/OI_PNPSTUDENTS_PHD.html

these are all my opinion but please seek other opinions also before doing anything

Probably a good SOP can save you. You need to convince the VO about your plans and why you chose this program.

Hi.. I got admission in NAIT for winter term 2013 in Digital Media and IT diploma course. I completed my Btech in 2012 in Computer Science and Engineering. My IELTS score is 6.5 . Now I've to apply for my study permit. For funds I'll show my GIC certificate and one term semester fee.
What are my chances of getting visa.?? Is there anything else I can do to make my case strong.? Please help me to make my chances of getting VISA strong.. !

GIC & 1st Sem fee is enough to get the Visa Approved. I just attached the same docs (GIC & 1st Sem fees) & got VISA on 14th August. Hope the same happens with you.

Thank you for your reply. Can you please provide me sample of reference letter by guardian .?? Also, should I provide some job experience to fill study gap of 1 year. ?

You are a physiotherapist! Your profession is on the Federal Skilled Program List of occupations that don't require a job offer. Why don't you apply for the Federal Skilled Program instead?

I was about to say the same. You qualify under Federal Skilled Program and the quota as of now has not reached to max. You still have time and can gather all docs and directly apply for PR.

Thank you all for your valuable sugessios and replys..Ya..my profession is under fsw..but i dont have 1year experiace..even i have no clue what all changes are going to happen next year...may be this profession might be removed.so i thought of taking student visa route..

I got visa without GIC or paying fees. Just showed bank statement having few thousand dollars more to Fees + Living. Bottom line is visa officer should get convinced that you are going there for study mainly.

hi,

TRY FOR RESEARCH BASED PROGRAMMES, I AM SURE UR VISA WILL BE REJECTED, PLEASE DON'T GET ME IN A WRONG SENSE, I , MYSELF A PHYSIOTHERAPIST, MY VISA WAS REJECTED TWICE, EVEN WITH STRONG SOP!!, VO, DON'T EVEN ATTEMPT TO READ SOP'S!!! PLS TRY TO GO FOR PHD OR RESEARCH BASED COURSES, N TRY TO OPT UNIV RATHER THAT COLLEGE!!

BEST WISHES...!!

Even though a background in physiotherapy treatment is valuable, visa decisions depend on other factors apart from academic qualifications.
Your IELTS scores meet the requirements, showing proficiency in English.
In addition, availability of adequate funds is important but visa approval depends on certain things like your intention to return to India after your studies.
for example your overall profile and how well you explain why you want this diploma course.
