Is it true that one needs to show enough personal assets to obtain Student VISA even if he/she gets admission in a reputed university??
If yes,how much???Wat in case he/she is taking education loan?

from what i read on this forum, i think u have to show ties back to your home country. For example, i don't think they expect a 18 year old to have assets but there should be ties that will pull the kid back to his home country. I hope someone will confirm what i said.

I agree with Rupeshhari that a study permit applicant is not expected to own assets. The person who is sponsoring the student (usually his/her parents) are the ones who need to show proof of assets.

I've read in the past that education loan is also acceptable. But, you will still have to show strong ties to home country. For a young person, proof of ties would be having family back home. In this case, family's assets can be extended to the student applicant.
