Hi,

I got my PPR on Oct 27th. The passport arrived on Oct 30th and I haven't heard anything since. Alot of people around the same time have gotten their application approved.

I have a question and I know this is me being super paranoid. But does PPR mean that the application is almost approved? Or can they, for some reason, still refuse the application after receiving the passport?

PS: My passport is all new and valid, so no problem there.

Thanks.

It's certainly still possible for the application to be refused. It's unlikely - but absolutely possible.

Has this ever happened to anyone? If so, why?
Let's just say this would be extremely unlikely. The only scenario I can think of is if they find out some bizarre new information about you that would jeopardize your case or you commit some crime that they find out about. At the point where they ask for your passport they've essentially approved your application and run all the other background checks etc they need to.
