certificat de selection-how long?

hi im being sponsored by my husband,the sponsorship was approved on august 6th and when my husband received the letter it was mentioned to apply for engagement financier(which include csq).i would like to know how long it take for the csq to be approved(delivered).anyone can help.thanks

i am still waiting for the certificat du selection we sent it on july and two weeks ago we called they said that the aplication was in process and a decision has not been made yet so it should take 2 to 2 and half months .

hi kokobsb thanks for the reply.this is an extra wait for those living in quebec. i thought it will take only 20days.even the sponsorship approval did not take that long.

its supposed to be done in 20 business days which equals a month. But if you forget something and they send it back to you it will obviously take longer. Once the MICC charges your credit card its approximately 2 weeks more.

in fact my husband went there in person(by appointment)and the lady who took the application said i will take 20 working days if all the documents asked are given and there is no problem with the payment.

Mine is up to 11 weeks now, we got it back last week because I forgot a form I posted it on Tuesday though and my tracking number online STILL says 'item accepted at the post office'.... as in, the post office that I sent it from. Its supposed to take 1 to 2 days delivery... nothing goes right with these applications

Ok spoke to soon! I guess Canada Post does not update there tracking system very often because I just checked the mail and Ive got my CSQ

i just recieved an e-mail from my wife saying they accepted my file on august 17 and they will send it during this week hope the best for all of us
