Hi Folks,

I recently gave Celpip and my scores are L10, S9, W8 and R7. I know these are low in reading an writing specifically. Do you think if it is worth to apply for re-evaluation for Writing module to increase CRS?

Anyone have experience with Celpip re-evaluation lately?

I may be late on this...but:

Re-eval for writing can go up, but only if you were sitting right on the border of the next band. It’s not super common, but it does happen because writing is scored by humans and small things in tone or example depth can be interpreted differently.

The way your scores look, it’s possible you’re close, but there’s no guarantee. If you felt your writing was stronger than an 8 and the structure/examples were solid, then a re-eval is at least worth considering. Just don’t expect huge jumps, most increases are 1 point, and only when the response was borderline.
Reading won’t move at all because it’s machine-scored.

If you’re planning another attempt anyway, you might want to save the re-eval fee and put that energy into prepping for one clean retake. When I was stuck at 8 in writing, what helped me was practicing with CELPIP-style prompts that forced me to write more naturally and add clearer examples, I used Exam Hero for that because the feedback pointed out exactly where my answers felt too generic. That kind of targeted practice usually does more for your CRS than waiting on a re-eval.

Bottom line: re-eval might bump you to a 9, but it’s a gamble. A focused retake gives you more control over the outcome.
