Hello group,
My question is I am working in a occupation which is related to a trade. If I apply under CEC class, does the immigration ask for the trade certificate? I got this job on my pervious experience back home country.
Thanks
In advance
Some trades are regulated and some are not. If the trade is not regulated then you can work independently. If it is regulated then you need a Red Seal. The ability to work independently or not is a matter of regulated or not.
Actually I work in hotel industry and they are have given me letter in noc 7313 hvac mechanic. I used to work in similar field back home, so they have hired me. So if I apply under this noc code, do the immigration officer ask for trade certificate?
Then it depends if you're a refrigeration or air conditioning mechanic then you need certification to work independently (without supervision) in Alberta.
Trade certification for refrigeration and air conditioning mechanics is compulsory in Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Quebec, Ontario, Manitoba, Saskatchewan and Alberta and available, but voluntary, in all other provinces and the territories.
Trade certification for transport refrigeration mechanics is available, but voluntary, in New Brunswick and Alberta.
