Hi all,

I'm currently in the process of applying for permenant residency through CEC. I'm a bit confused about the work experience calculation as I just realised a few things now.

My work had started in October 20, 2022. I've been working around 40 hours per week ever since, but have taken around a month in unpaid leave accumulated so far (~1.5 weeks every year since 2022). This October 20, 2025, it will be 3 years of work experience for me.

Now, while I work 40 hours per week, I just found out that IRCC only counts up to 30 hours per week, so those 10 hours I've worked every week will not be counted in the work experience calculation.

So, does this means that if October 20, 2025 was going to give me three years of work experience, my 3rd year of work experience will technically be on Novemeber 20, 2025.

I have couple of questions regarding this:

1) Should I update the IRCC portal to reflect that? It's different from my offer letter OR:

2) I also know that I have a 60 days period to accept ITA. If my work experience is 3 years on October 20, 2025, and lets say I get an invite within the next couple of days after october 20, 2025, can I use the 60 days ITA period to submit my application AFTER november 20, 2025. This way I've actually gotten my 3 years of work experience at the time of submission?

Please advice, thanks before hand for your help :)
