Hi Guys,

Hoping someone could clear something up for me.

I was hoping to apply for PR under the CEC but had a query regarding my work experience. I work for a large engineering company and was seconded to Montreal in Jan 2011. I worked in Montreal for the next 6 months but then in June 2011 I started working in another country (flying back and forth) for the next 12 months, 6 weeks offshore, 1 week back in Canada. During this time I was still being paid in Canada and maintained a residence, and I have T4's, records of employment etc to back this up. My question then is this experience valid?

I'm back working in Ontario now, so I could wait another 6 months if necessary, but Id like to apply as soon as possible in case of any hiccups.

Thanks,
reidy

IMHO, you have been working for a CANADIAN company. Your trips were a part of your job duties at CANADIAN company in Canada. So, no worries, just supply CIC with all backups (like T4, bank statements, lease agreement).
