Hello All,
I qualify for PR under CEC and below is my situation -

I am on employer dependant work permit
I get paid in India and claim all my expenses in Canada
I have submitted the tax filing for 2011 and have not received notice of assessment yet, I do not have T4.

Do I need to wait for NOA or I can go ahead and submit the application without NOA/T4?

Thanks

About the T4 - You mean, you don't have it yet, or you don't get one because your employer is in India?

You don't have a T4 because you are not paid by a Canadian company. I'm guessing you are on an intra-company transfer.

You COULD apply without the NOA, however I've not read of anyone doing this. Personally, if you can, I"d wait until you receive the NOA under these circumstances.

You need to ensure you have 100% of what is required in the reference letter. It's important the reference letter is from the Canadian division of the company.

If you don't have a T4 and don't have the reference letter, you won't stand much of a chance!

Thanks for the clarification. Sure I can get the reference letters, that wont be an issue. A question on that - I have nearly 18 months of work experience in Canada till date for that I can get the letter from Canadian organization and the period before that I believe I am counted as an employee in Indian organization. So do I have to get two reference letters since they are asking for 3 years letters? or a reference letter from Canadian organization and my offer letter from India (dated 6 years back) would do?

3 years employment WITHIN Canada.

You need nothing from any company out with Canada. The Canadian company only need to vouch for the time you have been employed by them.

Ok that's good then, a reference letter from Canadian company stating the responsibilities for my 18 months work in Canada. Since my work permit says intracompany transfer I can ask them to add my start date of employment in the same letter with Indian organization.

There is no need. That will not benefit you or your application. You are assessed on: -

- 12 months (or more) work experience in Canada.
- English / French
- Holding valid status while in Canada

Sure tnx. A question again - my current assignment started 18 months ago, also from jan-June 2010 I was also on deputation for a different client with similar responsibilities. Does the reference letter should indicate the 2010 as well or only the recent experience is enough?

Thank you! My NOC code in 2010 was 2173 (apprx 6 months experience) and current is 2171 (18+ months). So in the same reference letter from my company I should include duration , responsibilities, salary, number of hours worked etc (mentioned in point 10 of checklist)?
