CEC under EE

Hi guys just curious to know whether it is mandatory to have 1 year work experience in NOC OAB category to apply for CEC under Express Entry?

Be sure while calculating one year not to account for any stay that is spent out side of country on a vacation etc.
For ex, if you cross the border for a week.. that may not count.. Search this forum and you will see plenty of posts on that topic..

Paid vacation/sick leave (assuming that pays) should count, unpaid time offs wouldn't. Just like now.

Could you also let me know, if i want to apply for my PR under FSWP Category with my Indian experience, without using the EE facility, can i do that?

I mean the way people used to apply for FSWP till date?

There have been mixed responses in CEC section on this. If its me, I would spend 12 calender months in Canada + a week just in case and then apply.
