I have listed the steps involved in CEC PR process. Please correct, if I have missed anything.

1) Prepare and sign the documents
2) Mail the documents to Sydney, NS and wait for AOR
3) AOR will be received within 6-8 weeks
4) Medical Request (in another 6 months)
5) PPR, if everything is fine (in another 2 months)
6) Land in Canada

Guys please help to complete it so that it will be useful for anyone applying.

*8) what about if the applicant is already in Canada?

Land does not mean you actually 'land' like with an airplane. When you are in Canada
by the time you receive the CoPR, you will have to leave Canada and re-enter, either by
flagpoling or a day/weekend-trip across the line.

yeah, i understood..i will probably ask around if anybody had the experience driving to the border from Alberta.

Sure. Here's a list of border crossings in Alberta:

Not sure where there are immigration services offered tho, or if you can show up at any crossing to complete your landing.
