CEC PR Applicant can leave to UK while Processing?

Hi,
I've UK Permanent Residency and last year august I came here on work permit .Since I was working in CANADA as a Snr. BI Consultant I applied CEC PR with all the mandatory documents in the month of OCT 2014.

My closed work permit valid till May 2015 .

My Question is can I leave the country and go back to UK while my Canada PR application is under process.

will the VO treat my application differently ie. Since I'm not in this country will they give less importance to my Canada CEC application.

I'm planning to leave country once I get File number or may be I will stay till end of my current contract ie. May 2015.

Please share your ideas.

you can go back , nothing will be affected.

only one thing, your mail address if still valid ??? you can't use a UK's address while your application handled in CA. right?

and you will need back to do medical check and other things when PR close to get approved.

Since my friend own permanent house I can change my address to his address.

So do I need to notify CEC that I'm leaving country.

I'm not in hurry since I've some time so in mean time I will gather all information.

Yes you can Leave anytime to your country of Origin.
No , VO will not treat your application differently but being from visa exempt country once your file is finalized You will be sent COPR in mail ( not email to be precise ) . In this condition I am not sure CIC ships out COPR out of country if "NOT" you need to make arrangements to receive it in Canada ( may be help of Friend) , If "YES" then for sure you need to update your UK address where they will send the COPR.

Medicals you can anyways you do from UK - any accredited doctor office of CIC

no, you needn't, because, you leave the country nothing value information for the case changed.


if your address is always the same .
and you leave doesn't change your employment situation which you may have said in your reference letter.

e.g if in your reference letter, you say, you are hired permanently, but then you leave the job for some reason,

this is a change, you need notify the CIC. or else, when your boss get call from CIC , some information on the reference letter will be not right.

Wrong. A CIC applicant can live anywhere in the world. Applicants are required to inform CIC of the change of residence. You can have a different mailing address (e.g. one in Canada) from the actual residence if that is of some benefit to you, but telling CIC that you live in Canada when you live in the UK is misrepresentation.

Also wrong. Medicals can be done anywhere in the world. You just need to find a Panel Physician who is authorized to do the medical.
