Hi there, I'm new to the forum and looking for advice on my application and immigration status in general. I've had two lawyer consults but he was quite condescending and (I'm pretty sure) withholding of information as he wanted me to pay for full representation and $5000 package and this community seems so kind and informative so here goes:
1. I applied under CEC but it's asking me for Proof of Relationship because I listed my uncle as a relative. We aren't very close and he doesn't add to my overall score so it would be a bit of an awkward (albeit achievable) route to get his documents. Can I go back and remove this without getting penalized? I'm struggling to understand the relevancy of his status to my application.
2. My passport is expiring in April 2022 and my work permit is expiring in October. I am planning on extending my permit and go back to Kenya (pending a visa which is currently being processed) before then to renew my passport. Should I hold off on my application and re apply for an ITA until the new passport? I'm looking to avoid getting into a situation where I potentially have to reapply for permanent residency again and pay the fee twice because of a new, different passport, as I'm already borderline struggling to pay for this current application. Would my PR card only stretch to April 2022 if I got it before my new passport?
Thank you so, so much. I appreciate your unpaid labour and what y'all do is honestly such a godsend and saving lives. I really can't express my gratitude enough.

Cheers,
Hugo
