A few questions I hope you can be of help for. I'm currently working in Canada on an IEC work permit and approaching a year of full time work. Firstly, is the NOC code 1241 still eligible for CEC? http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/department/media/backgrounders/2013/2013-11-08.asp - This link suggests not, but it is dated, however I haven't seen anything after this to say it's eligible again.
Secondly, does work need to be continuous? I understand you need to work 52 30+ hour weeks, but the hours in my job changed while I was there. Some weeks were 40, some were 20, is it ok to have the 52 full time weeks spread out over 65+ weeks?
Can I apply from the UK? Once I get my 52 weeks of work, I am planning to return home. Will this hinder my application at all? Can I do my English tests and medical over there? Also how much does the whole PR application cost (with all extra fees from tests etc)
Finally I understand you need to be physically in Canada for 2 years every 5 to maintain PR. Is that 5 years counted from the moment you get PR? If that's the case, could I leave applying till the latest point possible to give myself more time in the UK before having to return to Canada?
Thanks in advance
