Hi Canadavisa123,

There is no harm in sending an email before sending the original documents for proof.
Am I right or wrong?

If you read the Document check list CIC mentioned that do not send multiple copies like Email and Post.

its always better to send one Copy original for PCC and for all other it is ok to send by Email scan copy.

When sending important documents such as PCC, write To Address as below:

Attention: Officer XXXXXX
Case Processing Pilot - Ottawa
Citizenship and Immigration Canada
219 Laurier Avenue West Ottawa ON K1A 1L1
Canada

Also, include a letter with your details (Name, file number, client ID etc) and mention your file number on the top of the envelope.

Also, it is a good idea to send such documents through registered and trackable mail with signature. After mailing the document, always send an email to CIC and get their confirmation that document has been received. Don't rely on tracking status - the mail might have been delivered, but officer would not have got it.

Hi eds1275,

Thansk for your Inputs it is really helpful.

I think we need to also include the Email Request which CIC sent for the PCC socuments.

Thanks

yes, very important thing !

hi jaihanuman,

why including copy of the email request if its not asked for by CPP-OTTAWA.they link documents to files by (date of birth, full name and file number).
please PEOPLE do not debate into something that is nothing requested by cic, follow the instructions given and you will be fine.
just remember that most corporates, companys, businesses, governement agancies use EMAILS and EPOST now,so save a paper, save a tree and of course save our envirnoment.

Please find the quote from CIC Email.

"All requested documents/information must be accompanied by the outgoing correspondence we have sent to you (i.e. this e-mail or a printed copy of this letter)."

Check this Post which has the Email details from a user.

http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/police-certificates-t171562.0.html

If CIC requested further info from you-

1) If the information can be provided over email as attachments (example: birth certificate copies, pay stubs), you can reply to that email with the information requested.

2) If the information is required to be sent in post (example: police certificates), you must include outgoing correspondence from CIC that requested such information.

I hope it is clear.

hi neha_arora1985,

yes there is no harm of course and you can do that but CIC advice to keep messages to low and only when its needed so in another word if its not highly important i would not email them.
they are trying to use their resources to better process applications as fast as possible, thats why they usually ignore repeatitive emails that is just annoying in their definition.

Hi Canadavisa 123,

Document requested by CIC is always a high priority thing and sending an email is not a bad or annoying option.

Regards,
Neha

CIC clearly mentioned in their website that do not send multiple ways the same doc it may be confusaon for them to process.

Hi,

I have applied my application without PCC and now I have got my PCCs ready to submit.. Shall I send my PCCs to CPP-Ottawa now ? As I read PCC should not be 3 months old and when I will get request from CPP - Ottawa asking to submit my PCC by that time my PCCs will be older than 3 months and I need to get all my PCCs again. Pls advise what shall I do.
