My Canadian employer mention my promotion from security guard to security guard supervisor as may 4 2025(which is Sunday). My payroll cycle was from may 4 2025 to may 17 2025. Is it normal for HR department to use the payroll cycle start date as promotion date or should it be Monday officially.
