Hi Seniors,

I have 2 questions:

1. My work duration was slightly (15 days) less than 2 years in Canada, however it seems points calculated for me considered 2 years. I started working in Canada on 16-Jan-2013 & worked till 31-Dec-2014. As option for experience only mentions Months & Year (Jan-2013 to Dec-2014), hence it seems system considered it 2 years. Could this impact my PR prospects if I get an ITA?

2. My score will reach 447 once my ECA is completed (by end of Feb) & I may get 2 more points for spouse higher secondary ECA? However, I think I will loose 5 points in July (birthdate), as my age will increase by a year. My question is - what is possibility of getting an ITA with points as 447/449 by July? Or should I try for Ontario Provincial Nomination (considering that I worked there & have some close friends as well)?

Thanks

A:Yes, they will reject your application for this

A: While nobody can predict an ITA (lots of uncontrollable factors/variables there) but if you score anywhere >400 you should get PN from ON which isn't a bad option after all.
Thanks
Unless you have other options of enhancing the tenure of your Canadian work experience...i am not sure whether you should be happy or sad. :'(

Thanks! Very strange that they will reject application even when issue is because of calculation by their software/website. Looks like it will be better to apply through PNP.

Ok, so I had modified my Canadian Experience in profile to start from Feb-2013, so that system only calculates 1 year experience instead of 2 years. Now, I got ITA on 1st March & am going to submit my application. Hope VO does not get confused with start date as Feb while date on Employment letter will be 16-Jan & does not count it as misinterpretation. I will explain it in LOE.

Any suggestions?

You can change it back post ita and explain in loe.
