My second LMO application was also approved after the first was denied, even though it was for the same job and company. I couldn't flagpole to the border because I'm not from a visa exempt country, so unfortunately my employer had to let me go after knowing it will take up to 70 days to get my new work permit and restore my status. The LMO process is flaky at best, and it has serious negative impacts for people who are trying to continue working in Canada.
