I mailed my Canadian Experience Class application on December 27 2014 by Express Post, but somehow my mail was delivered just on January 5 2015 (was suppose to be there on December 31 2015). Have no idea how I got so unlucky. Any ideas what can happen to my application? Can I expect it to be processed by old rules or it will just be returned to me?

Unfortunately you should expect your application to be returned to you since it wasn't received by December 31st. You'll need to apply under Express Entry.

Yea I called CIC call centre and a lady told me that the applications were suppose to be received by January 1 to be processed by old rules but she also mention that agents who receive application have an authority to make a decision to still accept it. That's my last hope that agent decided to accept it, other wise just express entry.

If Canada Post sealed it on 27th, they can still consider your application under previous rules.

But really depends on the person who's gonna check your papers.

Best of Luck!

What you can see on signed date?

You should have to send it via fedex. You have already taken risk.

Unlikely that it will be reconsidered, the date that it arrives at the CIC processing centre, is the official date.
