CEC application - Leaving my current job after applying for PR

Hello All,

So this is my situation. I have been working as a shift supervisor at this place(Victoria BC) for the past 2 years. I just applied for my PR ( finished Biometrics yesterday). I am tired of working at this place, Wage is really low to start with (40 cents more than minimum wage). The work load has been increased since Covid 19. to summarize it is a toxic work environment. I am planning to hand my 2 week's notice in soon. So do i have to get a new job offer while the process? Being unemployed for a week or two cause any problem to my application?. How do i notify IRCC when I leave my job?

hey,
You can leave your job as long as you don’t have an LMIA with your current employer. I believe you’re on an Open Work permit? Leaving a job on OWP won’t harm your PR application as long as you’re not claiming points for LMIA arranged job.

Also, you don’t need to notify IRCC.
