CEC Application and Inland Common-Law application at the same time?

Hello,

Is it possible to submit the CEC Application and Common-Law application at the same time?

Currently since sending out my common-law application in March it has just been sitting in a box with everyone else's applications because of the processing times and its not even going to be opened and looked at until June/July 2015....

Would it be worth me submitting a CEC application as I have been working in Canada for 3 years and my Job is on the List, Mostly IT Computer Support Help Desk Roles

You can certainly submit a CEC application while you have a spousal application in progress (provided you meet the CEC criteria). There is nothing stopping you from having applications in two different streams processing at the same time.

What would then happen is one is approved and while the other is still going?

You would withdraw the one that is still going and hopefully get part of your payment back (how much of your payment depends on how far along the application is in processing).
