CBSA kiosk

I am new to this forum and I have been only an observer and I really have learned alot from it so I hope I can find some help today.
I arrived today morning in Canada as a returning PR and had to use the new kiosks used by citizens and PRs at Pearson Airport.
Took the photo, declared etc.
My question is and it might sound stupid (bare with me please). Is it possible for the kiosk to miss scanning my PR card? As in not scan it at all and prompt to take a photo and declare stuff?
Because I don't recall if it showed me that scanning was successful as I remember struggling doing it.

Please let me know and calling upon seniors too to help me out

It is highly unlikely for that to happen. If you received a print out with your photo, then the PR card scan is successful. You PR card number(not UCI) will also be printed in that.

Thank you, I did receive it yes but the ink was so bad and it didn't show anything clear not even my photo, I had to go to another end of the customs and the officer checked her computer and let me go. Dont know what she did, she asked my for D.O.B only

The kiosk would have pushed the details to their database. Since the print out is unclear, she might have wanted to verify it's your details that she got on screen.

I really hope so
Because when I didnt have the printout clear, the officer looked up my date of birth and took a very quick look at my bio page then she let me go

Hello, I have a related question. When we did use the kiosk, our passport will not be stamped, is that correct? If yes, how can we prove the physical residency? Or will IRCC reach out to CBSA to confirm?

Only kiosk not stamp, yes they will reach out
