10100 CAD GIC + 1st semester fees is enough for visa under general category. of course you can also show education loan bank statements but that's not necessary.

general category. i haven't got the visa yet. i had applied online. yesterday i got a request from delhi chc for my passport. most probably i'll get it by next week.

i read your post in the morning regarding fees. so in your case money was a never a problem for the visa officer. it's just the sop that you've to concentrate on.

i appreciated for your replies, GIC is not valid in Genral no meaning of it

so is it fine to keep 5 lac as cash and education loan????

Do i need to show some investment like bond pf lic etc ? OR Do i need to show any asset ??

Here is what i think:

1. Have enough cash available (cash in bank + sponsors bank (if any)+ loan) to pay for your entire course, whatever the length it is. That way, you can show you have the money to pay for your tution + accommodation.

2. Property etc are assets that you or your parents own. Showing these can satisfy the VO that you have something to come back to/ for. These are not liquid assets and cannot be materialized immediately to pay for your education (in a lot of cases). So dount count on showing these as a means of paying for your education.
