So before my new job i did a brief cash job as it was offered when i was having trouble finding work and i thought id be leaving the country.

My lawyers legal aid says i include it in the applicstion so we are being honest to immigrstion canada.

Can working cash compromise my application? Should we not include it?

You certainly need to declare it. You don't want to risk ending up with a misrepresentation charge and being banned from Canada for five years.

You shouldn't have any issues if you fully declare this history. The only way I could see this causing an issue is if there are already other red flags associated with your profile / relationship that make it look like you're trying to find any way you can to stay in Canada. In that case the illegal work would be one further red flag. Otherwise - it shouldn't be an issue.
