I have sent away application for my wife and can you tell me if they advise by email, that they receivced application.

They will advise by email only if you included your email or her email in the application form.

I have submitted my application back in the mid May 2014, but have not heard any thing; either by e-mail or by mail. I have provided my e-mail address.

Any advise?

Mid May, its only been a month later, processing time is 56 days for sponsor side, still way too early to hear anything back.

they are currently processing applications from April 24, and there are many april applicants still waiting, so as mikey suggested, it will be a while. you can use this link to check the status of applications being processed. Remember it's not always accurate, and even though it suggests a certain date, that doe NOT guarantee every application received before that date has been processed.

How does the processing time go from 30 days to 55 days? Used to be 30 days until the last quarterly update of processing times on June 18th. If you don't get an e-mail by day 55, I suggest you immediately contact your MP's office and ask for a follow up. I dropped the ball on this one, waited waited waited... and after almost 3 months I called my MP's office - the next day I received my approval. Will never know if it made a difference, but it cannot hurt. Good luck guys!

the processing time has been 55 days for quite a while. it jumped back in may.

no, Rabat will not send you anything that they have the application. Now its just waiting for them to contact you for interview or if they need other documents.

I believe it's because they are now processing inland and outland applications through Mississauga. I read something about it a few weeks ago. Not sure though, I hope not.

yes, that is one element that caused the increase. the change in approval time varies throughout the year, and there are a bunch of factors that make this happen.

Right you are, as others have noticed seasonal variations too.

yes, cpc-m is now taking care of inland and outland cases. i heard from call center agent last month. - thats one of the reason for delay too.
