My husbands case ID has been mixed with another persons ID. (They are sharing the same case ID number) It has been a problem for some time..always causing some question as to who is who whenever my husband is travelling. Now we have put in his sponsorship application in..when I try to see what is going on E-Cas, Icannot see anything because it says he cannot be recognised by his case ID number...His app was put in Jan 2010. We feel like we are flying blind...anyone ever heard of a case like this? any advice?

No advice, but I hope they figure it out for you soon. :(

Anyone who knows something about this or has had a similar experience?
is there another way we can check ecase?

Have you recieved your AOR letter because you should be able to check it with his B file number stamped on the AOR...or contact CIC-M and see if they can give you your ID # as you are the sponser and should have a file started as well....those are my suggestions any ways....hope you get it sorted out

I do remember reading something similar to your situation in another forum but it was way back when. These silly mistakes do happen and you have to keep on top of things and CIC for them to correct their mistakes.

Let us know how things work for you.

Best wishes.
