I don’t think so if it’s true as you can see some applicant getting medical request along with BIL . So there eligibility didn’t check before medical but medical request means your file 90 % positive.

As I have already my biometrics in Dec 2021 but i saw someone wrote you will get medical request if your eligibility cleared.....

Thought I would share the update of a friend. I "helped" them with the application itself. They have handled everything since.

So we applied Jan 2021 by a paper application.

My friend is good at calling IRCC in the early morning, so they were able to get updates over the phone.

My friend finally got confirmation the week of April 1st. A job they had was pending since January. They needed a work permit. When they called about their work permit application, they were told that they were a permanent resident. They got an email a few days later. No card yet though.

Sorry it's taking too long. When we applied in 2021, the processing time was 6 months.

If am not mistaken you where talking about your friend’s applicantion and when he/she called IRCC regarding her work permit then they came to know that already PR is approved is that what you meant?

Yes. That's exactly what she told me. She hasn't gotten her card yet, but used the email to start her job.
