Hello helpers!

I want to explain a little bit about my situation. I recently graduated from a college and I've got three-years Post Graduation Work Permit which is an open work permit. However, I know that for I be able to apply through the Express Entry Program I would need to have at least one-year Canadian work experience in the field that I studied and graduated. But, my intention now, is to change my career because I definitely noticed that this is not for me and I do really wanna change.

The question is, are there other possibilities to apply through an immigration program, working in another field and be able to extend my work permit?

You need to research the CEC program more carefully. There is no requirement for your work experience to match your education.

Like others said, your education and employment need not to be in the field for you to score points. If you alreafy have work experience in Canada, there is no need to wait...you apoly. Your score is not effected by this.
