We submit our application for sponsorship of parents last january 4. Unfortunately last april 1 I found out that CIC already charge the fee but only one did go through and the other one was declined due to insufficient fund. What will happen will they return the application? I was wondering upon sending the application how long does immigration will charge the fee? Please help. Thank you.

CIC typically tries charging the card twice times. If both times fail, the application is returned unprocessed and you'll have to submit it again next January.

How would you know they will try for 3rd time? I got the other application returned today and i'm scared to open it. Other way to re submit the application?

If one of the applications has already been returned, then it's not going to be processed. No - there is no way to resubmit it. You will have to apply again next year.

There is no way to know if they will try a third time. You'll just have to wait and see what happens with the second application.

I don't get it why they dont reconsider? Just wondering once application send to immigration how long does the immigration charge for the fee?

They don't reconsider because your application has to be complete when it is received. Your application was incomplete because CIC couldn't charge the fee. Incomplete applications are returned unprocessed. Again, you'll have to wait until next year and then submit a brand new application.

Fees are charged within the first two months of the application being received.

Once application returned will they tell you because the card was declined?

Typically they include a letter with the application telling you what it was returned/refused. If you open it, you'll find out.

I want to take a risk I'm planning to send back the application with corresponding letter stating if they can still give me a chance. I don't want to lose hope i'm hoping that they will reconsider.. Better to try than doing nothing about it.. Would you think i can do that? I'm desperate that's my mother in law application that was declined payment i dont want my mother in law and husband get mad at me..

There's no point trying to resubmit. CIC won't accept it and will return it back to you unprocessed again. You've lost your place in line because your application was incomplete. You'll need to reapply again next January. Having said that, if you want to waste your money on courier / mailing fees, that's obviously your choice. However I would very strongly recommend you not hold out hope the application will be accepted - it won't be.

It's a long shot, but reach out to your local MP's office. When I had an issue they phoned the CIC on the spot for me and helped offer me a solution.

Always worth a shot to get their opinion!

As scylla said above, there is no point in sending the app back. Your app was incomplete and correctly refused.

Apply next year and make sure you have enough money on your credit card.

In case i will resubmit the application they returned will they again include a letter the same reason why the application was returned the first time or another letter stating that the application was returned because the submission of applicants is already close?

Please can somebody answer my question. If i will re submit the application will they returned the application with a letter telling the reason why? Or they will just return the application as it is because they are no longer accepting applicants?
