Hello,

I got my G1 driver's license in May 2013, and I am now taking a driving course at an MTO approved school. After then, I will apply for G2 road test and then hopefully get a car.
Note: I am living in Oakville, ONTARIO

My question is: how much my car insurance would be as a beginner driver? and what are the cheapest insurance companies that I could get a cheap quote with? because I don't want to pay more than $160/m for the insurance.

1) I live in Oakville, ON
2) I am 27 years old, will be 28 in May 2014
3) The car that I am willing to get is 1998 or 2000 -> Not a fancy car because like I said I don't want to pay much for the insurance.

Thanks,

Depending on the car, expect at least $350/mo. That's without collision and comprehensive coverage.

Ok one question:
I am out-of-province exchange driving license person, so I am going direct to G level (Highway Road Test), do you suggest I take approved MTO course in order to get insurance discount?
Or that discount is only for G1->G2->G drivers?

It may give you some little discount, perhaps like $15/mo. If you get a G instead of a G2, you might save up to $30/mo.

The BIGGEST cost factors in your car insurance are:
1. Your address (In GTA, Brampton is generally most expensive, Downtown Toronto least expensive)
2. Number of years you have been insured in Canada without accidents/tickets
