Hi Scott,

I am about to fill the CAQ application online, but I have some doubts with the information provided by McGill in the offer letter of admission. I am curious to know what were your answers.

•As the start date I am considering the September 2nd 2014 since it is stated in the Recommendation Letter from the Department. However, the end date is not stated anywhere. The only similar information (in the offer letter) is the duration of the program which is 3 years (Masters degrees must be completed within three (3) years). Therefore, I am assuming the end date to be September 2 2017.
•Regarding tuition I am filling the form with the information provided in the web page (15,347) rather than in the offer letter (14,500).

I have contacted the department about these issues but they haven't answered so far. Thanks in advance for any input.

I put September 2, 2017 and used CAD 14,500 in the tuition. :)
The dates are an estimate so it's okay to put three years since that's what's written in our official offer of admission.
I also wrote in CAD 14,500 cause that's what's written in paper. Send your papers in already man!

Cheers,
Scott

I applied for CAQ on 26 Mar and couriered docs same day. On 31st Mar my file was updated with below info:
"Your file is now open"

Now how much time it will be going to take.
Please advise.

Same situation. I know somebody who said 15 calendar days (Willoydford ^^) since file opening. He submitted his docs on the first week of March. I hope ours is also just as fast. :)

Any progress on CAQ?

Mine took exactly 15 days, from file opening to issuance of the approval letter. :)

Yes, you need that checklist. It is to be signed and sent to Quebec along with other docs.
Write an email or call the authority issuing CAQ.

Btw, I got my CAQ within 15 days. Suggest you to apply asap as this is not a busy time for the authorities and they'll issue the CAQ quite fast.
What documents did you submit when you apply for the CAQ ? kindly list the documents list if could

I'm from India. These were the documents I submitted. You'll get a checklist once you apply online.

1) The original Declaration, commitments, and authorizations form, dated and signed.

2) An original recent ID photo, passport format (35 mm x 45 mm), with your name on the back and stapled in the box opposite.

3) Legible photocopy of pages of your passport bearing personal information and the photo (well defined). Your passport must be valid.

4) Letter of admission from the registrar (or Admissions Office) of the educational establishment that you will attend
