Hi all,

The category that I would like to apply for has reached its cap of 1000. So what do I do next? Wait for the next year...will it be open again or give up entirely?

thanks!

Hi,
If I were in your situation, I would prepare all the documents and wait for the next call. I don't 't have anything to loose. No one knows your NOC will be opened in next July or not but isn't it the best option to make everything ready? You will have the oppertunity to file your application sooner in case the NOC is still there. Besides history shows NOC change takes at least 2 years. So hopefully it will be there on 2011 July. Get ready....you have nothing to loose..
Hope it helps.

Thanks for your reply. Yup, I think I will start to prepare for my application. Hopefully things will start looking up. :)

In my opinion, gather all your documents and start preparing for IELTS(give exam only when your NOC is on the list). You can also take French classes to increase your points and if its not too difficult try for Quebec skilled worker.
Try other PNPs and also arranged employment option!!!
Best of luck!!!!!

Thanks Nano.

Yes I have applied to sit for my IELTS class next month since I figured the results are effective for 2 years.

Yes looking at all other options since I have a Canadian degree (10 years) as well as relatives (sister and brother in laws)in Canada.

May i know how to check the cap is reach

thanks
