My spouse is American. We've known each other for 2.5 years. The last time we saw each other was when we got married at the start of August. I got a special leave from work to be able to do that. But now, neither of us can take enough time off of work to accommodate the need to quarantine for two weeks upon arrival/return to Canada.

Is it going to look bad on the sponsorship application that we aren't visiting each other after getting married? It's just literally impossible without one of us quitting our job.

No it won't look bad. There's no requirement to visit a spouse during the process. Given the circumstances either way they would understand. Just keep record of conversations etc just in case.

As long as you have spent enough time together before the covid limitations that is fine.
