Hi guys,

In the application to sponsor and undertake at the very end in section J it asks to sign however I can not sign as the declaration can not be applied to me. I'm a Canadian Citizen living outside canada and the declaration above states I have I am a resident of all Providences except Quebec. I'm not a resident of Canada...

What should I do.

Thanks

Technically I believe you are a Canadian resident and you can sign (although you may be residing outside Canada).

You are only declaring what you outlined in section G. You still put the city and province/state of where you are from no matter what country you are living in! Dont NOT sign it!!! You will have the application returned to you in an instant. The whole sponsorship and undertaking agreement is the main part of the application. Whether you are living out of the country as a citizen you have the same requirements of those that are living in the country. Don't be so completely literal. You may just end up getting your whole application returned!

Hi guys,

Help again. I'm going to sign something stating I signed it in Victoria BC when I'm in another country. I don't really have a residence in Canada, so how would signing it make sense.

I have to put a Canadian city and province.....I don't get it.

Put your current city and province or county of the country you are living in now, simple

You MUST sign the application!!!!!! Otherwise your entire application will be returned to you and your sponsorship delayed. Do yourself a favour and read the instructions.
