Cannot apply for PEQ Graduate because French tests have been postponed till Sep due to COVID-19. Work permit expires in 2021 Nov.

I was going to give my TEFAQ in March from UQAM but it got cancelled due to COVID-19 and postponed till September. I lost my job after 8 months so I don't qualify for the 12 months experience duration. My work permit expires in 2021 Nov. What should I be doing?

The 12 months is in the last 24 months.

I still wouldn't qualify for that, as before my previous job I was still studying and wasn't working at the time. I have worked previously but that would be out of the 24 month frame.

I have an open post graduate work permit
I would move out of the province of Quebec and to a different province and try to find a NOC A, B or 0 job there so that you can get enough work experience to hopefully qualify for CEC before your PGWP expires. For CEC, your work experience in Canada does not have to be continuous.

So if I understand you correctly you mean to say that those 12 months aren't to be consecutive, however I believe it still has to be within the time frame of the last 24 months? This is a bit specific, but does the job have to be in that province? Moving to a different province is going to be somewhat difficult given my current circumstances but I will keep that in mind.

CEC isn't 24 months. It's within the last 3 years.

But the French test will be available in June.
