Cancun to Canada

Good day,

I am a holder of a Guyanese Passport and a Permanent resident card holder since 2013.
My PR card expired in January 2019 but I am flying to Cancun on a Mexican Visa attached to my passport so will be able to enter with the expired PR.
Question is: Will I be able to leave Cancun and board a flight back to Canada with my valid Guyanese Passport but expired PR card?
Do let me know urgently what my options are thanks.

No. You need a PRTD to board a plane to Canada. Alternatively, if you can get a visa to the US, you can fly there and cross via a land border.

Also if anyone knows how long it takes to process the PR TD in Mexico, do let me know. I would like to chance it.
